The Four Seasons Home Owners Group
The Four Seasons Home Owners Group is an active organization providing residents with fun, social events. Participation is optional. For those residents who elect to join the group, annual dues are only $10.00. The association is a great way for new residents to meet their neighbors and make new friends. It's a great way to become acquainted with the Four Seasons community.A social highlight of the home owners group is the annual Christmas party. Other fun events, scheduled this past year, included a mystery night, a corned beef and cabbage dinner in March, a brat and hot dog night in October, a bingo night, and pot lucks. The one pound auction held in September created a lot of excitement.
The home owners group has also arranged for local political leaders, including the mayor of Belvidere, to speak to it's members. The organization has also sponsored food and toy drives for the Salvation Army at the holiday time. Presently, the group is sponsoring Belvidere Outreach Mission and Ronald McDonald House.
National Night Out was celebrated with a parade, a neighborhood picnic, and musical entertainment. The mayor of Belvidere, aldermen, the police chief and fire chief, all participated in the parade. Residents of the Four Seasons community organized and planned this enjoyable event.
Recipes from the Four Seasons residents have been collected and published in a cook book. The book, Favorites of the Four Seasons, is filled with many tempting and mouth watering recipes from the neighborhood.
The Keen Age Center
The Keen Age Center is a wonderful new facility for senior citizens, operated by the Boone County Council on Aging in Belvidere. Once a month a representative from the center is in the Four Seasons office to assist the residents of the community. The Keen Age Center offers many fun events including trips, dinners, dances, games, quilting and much more.The Keen Age Center provides transportation for medical appointments and grocery shopping; assists in applying for medical programs; and helps with filing taxes.
